Potsdam is an independent city which borders on Berlin. Depending on you historical knowledge you may have some knowledge of Potsdam. Probably what we most think of the the Potsdam Conference which resulte in the Potsdam Agreement which was July - 2 August 1945. Here was the decision about the division of Germany. Previously Potsdam was the residence of Prussian Kings and German Emperors up to 1918. Today there is the beautiful royal Park Sanssouci and its palaces which are a big tourist draw. So Craig and I took advantage of a beautiful spring Saturday and headed out on the train to Potsdam. We discovered there is more to see than can be done in one day, but we did get an overview of some of the beauty there. Here are a few photos.
